One-bedroom apartment in Paphos (€175,000)

This furnished one-bedroom apartment in Geroskipou could make a practical holiday home or base for longer stays near Paphos. It has 51m² of internal space plus a covered 7m² veranda, giving you room to eat outside without taking on a large garden. Covered parking is included and the title deed is ready to transfer.

Two-bedroom townhouse in Pegeia (€298,000)

This two-bedroom townhouse combines sea views with plenty of outdoor space. Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, while upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms and a family bathroom. There is also a large terrace, two private balconies, covered parking and a communal swimming pool. The Blue Flag beach Coral Bay is around eight minutes away by car.

Finding your Cyprus property

Once you have a shortlist, try to view each property and neighbourhood at different times of day. Think about the journeys you’ll make regularly, how much maintenance you want to take on and the total cost of buying rather than the asking price alone.

British citizens are treated as non-EU nationals for Cyprus property-purchase rules. Cyprus’s Ministry of the Interior states that non-EU foreign nationals wishing to acquire immovable property need permission from the relevant District Administration.
