You don’t need to spend a fortune to get a pool on the Costa Blanca. For under €250,000, you can still find houses, townhouses and apartments with pool access across one of Spain’s most popular stretches of coastline.

The Costa Blanca stretches for around 200 kilometres along the Alicante coastline, taking in everything from the busy resort strip of Benidorm in the north to the salt lakes and long sandy beaches around Torrevieja in the south. The further south you head, the further your budget tends to stretch – pool properties under €250,000 aren’t unusual here; they’re fairly standard.

Supply at this end of the market moves quickly, so if something catches your eye, it’s worth acting fast. Here are five properties for sale in the Costa Blanca and Alicante that give a fair picture of what’s out there right now.

Natural light runs through the apartment most of the day and access to a communal pool is included. At 60m² it’s not huge, but the location does a lot of the work – Benidorm draws visitors year-round, making it worth considering if you’re thinking about rental income.
