You don’t need to spend a fortune to get a pool on the Costa Blanca. For under €250,000, you can still find houses, townhouses and apartments with pool access across one of Spain’s most popular stretches of coastline.
The Costa Blanca stretches for around 200 kilometres along the Alicante coastline, taking in everything from the busy resort strip of Benidorm in the north to the salt lakes and long sandy beaches around Torrevieja in the south. The further south you head, the further your budget tends to stretch – pool properties under €250,000 aren’t unusual here; they’re fairly standard.

This east-facing villa in Montebello sits on a 183m² plot, five minutes from La Finca Golf Hotel and Spa and around 20 minutes from the coast. This two-bedroom flat in Benidorm’s desirable Levante area sits 100 metres from the beach, with a southwest-facing terrace that looks out over the sea. Natural light runs through the apartment most of the day and access to a communal pool is included. At 60m² it’s not huge, but the location does a lot of the work – Benidorm draws visitors year-round, making it worth considering if you’re thinking about rental income.
