Cyprus is set to welcome a record 13 million air passengers in 2025, a massive increase from last year. This influx of travellers is a great sign if you’re looking to buy in Cyprus.

The news comes from forecasts by Hermes Airports, operator of Larnaca and Paphos airports. The 7% increase in passenger traffic shows both that more people are travelling to Cyprus, and more people are able to travel to Cyprus.

There are more flights than ever to the island, making it excellently accessible for people buying a holiday home or those looking to relocate but easily travel home.

With more flights from key European markets, getting to Cyprus is becoming easier, which benefits you whether you’re relocating, investing, or looking for a holiday home.

Easier travel from the UK and Germany

If you’re based in the UK or Germany, Cyprus’ expanding flight network offers more flexibility and convenience.

Airlines are increasing services from Manchester, Luton, and Gatwick, while German routes from Frankfurt and Düsseldorf provide better access.

Condor is resuming flights from Germany, and Ryanair is adding a new Düsseldorf-Weeze to Paphos route.

If you’re planning property viewings, moving permanently, or making frequent trips, these additional flights will make travel smoother and more frequent.

Whether you’re looking to let or live in Cyprus, there is a growing demand

Stronger demand for holiday homes

More flights mean more visitors, which is good news if you’re considering renting out your Cyprus property.

Several new airlines, including AnimaWings, SkyUP, Air Haifa, and Saudia, are launching routes to Cyprus, attracting a broader range of travellers.

EasyJet is adding an Amsterdam-Cyprus service, and Transavia is introducing flights from Marseille and Lyon to Larnaca.

With increased connections from Poland, including more flights from Katowice, demand for short-term rentals is likely to grow, boosting occupancy rates and potential rental returns.

This also means that, should you relocate to Cyprus, that you can more easily visit the rest of Europe.

A holiday home in Paphos

Cyprus is filled with excellent getaway spots, but Paphos may be perfect for you

Why Paphos is a top choice for homebuyers

If you’re considering buying in Cyprus, Paphos stands out as a top location. With its own airport offering direct flights to the UK and other European cities, travel is incredibly convenient.

The city offers more than just accessibility – it boasts year-round sunshine, a welcoming international community, and a lower cost of living compared to other Mediterranean destinations.

Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retirement spot or a vibrant social scene, Paphos delivers both, with its network of English-speaking social clubs, golf courses, and outdoor activities.

The city also provides excellent healthcare services and attractive tax benefits for retirees and remote workers. With more flights making Paphos easier to reach, now is a great time to explore property opportunities in this historic coastal city.

More flights to more places mean Cyprus’ beaches are closer than ever

What this means for you

If you’re thinking of buying a home in Cyprus, now is an ideal time. Better flight connections make it easier to enjoy your property and enhance its investment potential.

Whether you’re looking for a holiday retreat, planning to relocate, or seeking strong rental returns, Cyprus’ growing air links make it a more convenient and appealing choice.
