Peredo de Bemposta, a parish in the municipality of Mogadouro, in the district of Bragança, covers an area of around 18.6 km2. This parish is located to the east of the town of Mogadouro, in the north-east of Trás-os-Montes, around 20 kilometres from the county seat. It is bordered on the east by Spain, with the River Douro as its natural border.

Its heritage includes the Romanesque church of Algosinho, the parish church of Peredo and the cemetery and necropolis carved out of the rock in Algosinho. The parishes of Peredo da Bemposta and Algosinho are located within the protected area of the Douro International Natural Park (PNDI). The cliffs of the River Douro, the Falcoeira area and the large areas of vineyards and dovecotes are paradisiacal places for visitors.
