Parking Facility Arrifes is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, with 25.27 km of area, 7,086 inhabitants (2011) and population density of 280.4 inhabitants / km .
It is the largest parish in area of the municipality of Ponta Delgada and the second largest in the Azores.
It is organized by three parishes: the source Piedade, the west Saúde and the middle Travessa dos Milagres.
The origin of the Arrifes meets the time when the city of Ponta Delgada was extending in all directions, through the construction of new houses, thus giving rise to new housing nuclei.
Originally the Arrifes were one of the favorite places for the nobility and rich burghers of Ponta Delgada, to have their farms and summer houses. Some old buildings, property deeds and the survival of some members of these families, of this are proof.
The main activity is agriculture, this parish being the largest dairy basin in the Azores. In this area there are also factories of dairy products and derivatives.
