A very special and spectacular project! Sometimes in life, you walk into a place, and you feel that you are walking into another world, a world of wonder, beauty, serenity, and peace. Atlantis Cactus Park is one of these places and it is now my honour to find the perfect person who will take over this labor of love and dedication that Gilberta and Mário have created over the last 13 years.

The person who will take over this project will benefit from all the advice and expertise of Mário who will be by his or her side as long as it takes. Created with a passion that is still evident today, Atlantis Cactus Park is a precursor in importing, breeding, teaching about cactus, dragon fruit and prickly pear.

Today, the park is home to over 4000 varieties of these fruit and 5000 plants overall at any given moment. This 8000m2 plot is located close to the beautiful beach of Sesimbra and about 30 km from Lisbon in a stunning and serene countryside landscape. The business is proud to have an organic farm certificate, a global plants seller certificate; Atlantis Cactus Park has also appeared more than 10 times on national TV and is the recipient of several international awards.

On top of that, they organise regularly wedding events, tourist events, initiation classes and more. In Mários own words: This project was born from a dream to bring something new and different to Portugal. After travelling extensively throughout South America and Asia, we returned to Portugal and with our daughter Joanna, we worked from day 1 to create a magical space using our imagination to provide the visitor with the opportunity to learn about and purchase these fantastic plants and fruit.

On the project, there is a small shed with electricity, water, kitchenette, bathroom, reversible air con/heating. At the bottom of the plot is a natural spring which is home to wildlife. While the land is rustic of course, the project comes with a pre-approval of the Municipality of Sesimbra to build a small house for habitation purposes.

It is an ideal project for nature lovers: the plot is ideal for permaculture projects, teepee tourism, all sorts of events (there is a dedicated area with laser lights) such as weddings or birthdays, classes, presentations.
