In turn, the name of the other Lomba, indicates the place where the Ferreiras de Azevedo who were Alcaides da Povoação in the seventeenth century had their
seat.With 1,112 inhabitants and being the third most populous parish of the county, Nossa Senhora dos Remédios lives, above all, from agriculture.
The festivities of São João, in June, Espírito Santo da Lomba do Alcaide and the patron saint, Na. Sra. dos Remédios, which takes place on the third weekend of September, attract many visitors to these places.
Those who pass through this parish will necessarily have to visit some tourist itineraries of reference, such as the Miradouros do Pico Longo and Pôr-do-sol, the Wheat Museum and the Alameda dos Plátanos.
