It's an impressive sight to see and mastic is a product widely used in cooking, also providing certain health benefits. Also, tasty liqueur and sweets are produced from this resin, also referred to as 'tears of the gods'. It's only a 10-minute drive from the home to the beach and no more than 25 minutes from Chios Airport.
