Description

Casa Concetta - Custonaci Two separate holiday homes with a shared driveway and outdoor spaces, Casa Concetta is a great opportunity to run a small tourist business in Sicily or even to move here full time and welcome all the guests you like. Only twenty minutes from the world-famous beach of San Vito Lo Capo it will certainly never be a hard sell to visitors! CLASSIC SICILIAN ARCHITECTURE IN A BEAUTIFUL NATURAL SETTING The house is a long low building with straight lines, topped by an almost flat roof in traditional Sicilian curved tiles.

Seen from any angle it fits perfectly against the tall rocky hillsides to either side of it. The rusticated plaster walls are painted a warm sandy yellow, and a subtle accent of exposed stone echoes the low walls that border the garden and pathways. Occasional majolica tiles add a decorative touch: this is a quintessentially Sicilian house, one you just couldn't find in the north of Italy.

A veranda at the front of the first apartment and one at the side of the second offer shade and space to relax or eat al-fresco. There's a built-in stone oven, a storeroom and even an outdoor shower. Guests will be certainly appreciate the off-street parking for two or more vehicles. SLEEPS EIGHT IN COMFORT The two apartments are different shapes and were built at different times, but similar in size and the distribution of spaces.

The only major difference is that while the upper of the two has a double and a twin bedroom, the first flat has a double plus two singles. One of the singles, at a push, could become a twin. Each one, except the smallest room in the lower apartment, has its own air conditioning unit. Each then has a roomy living space that includes a fitted kitchenette, a dining area and space to relax with a sofa.

The bathrooms both have showers and the kitchens have washing machines. The upper apartment is fitted and furnished in slightly more comfort, with modern insulating windows, a newer kitchen and more decorative touches. The lower one is, however, the bigger of the two. A PERFECT LOCATION FOR A SUNNY ESCAPE As we mentioned before, the Caribbean-style seafront of San Vito Lo Capo is just a few kilometres up the road, but the beach options certainly don't end there.

Cornino is only ten minutes away and while popular with locals is largely overlooked by tourists, and the same could be said of Macari, fifteen minutes in the other direction. Scopello, on the other side of the headland, is a charming little fishing village, while Castellammare del Golfo is a bigger seaside town.

North of Scopello is the nature reserve of Lo Zingaro, a magical wild spot that can only be explored on foot or by boat. Further south, a short ferry from the nearby city of Trapani, are the stunning Egadi islands. Nor is this only a beach location. The historic hilltop town of Erice, the salt pans of Trapani and the vineyards of Marsala are all in easy reach. FOR A FULL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE

The exchange rate on the day you make an offer on your property in Italy will not be the same as the rate you pay when you complete on your purchase, as currency markets move constantly. Any large rate movements may take it beyond your price range as the chart above illustrates the fluctuation and how much extra your property could have cost you.

The best way to avoid this significant risk is to plan your budget and currency strategy with an experienced currency specialist. They have been known to save you up to 4% compared to many high street banks, £4,000 for every £100,000, which soon adds up. They will also keep you up to date on market movements, help you set a rate in advance with a product called a Forward Contract - so you know exactly what you will pay for your property in sterling.

This is why we recommend Smart Currency Exchange Ltd. If exchange rate movements continue to be as unpredictable and as significant as they have been in the past then by not using Smart Currency Exchange Ltd your property could cost you £7,633 more.
