Yes, because on the ground floor a B&B has been cleverly created with welcoming and large rooms from which you can admire the breath-taking view of the plain, equipped with fireplaces and en suite bathrooms and a large kitchen space to indulge in. On the first floor, with access from an internal staircase, we find the master apartment. Three large bedrooms, a large kitchen, the heart of the house in the tradition of rural families and two warm and welcoming living rooms heated by ancient terracotta stoves from the early twentieth century. We take a last flight of stairs and here we are in the attic, another huge space to design and think about. This farm is a perfect combination of ancient and modern, in which the renovated blends with the recovered in a welcoming harmony that makes you immediately feel at home. Around the main farmhouse, forming a square with the well in the centre, there are 3 other buildings, what I call the farmhouse, a two-storey building which could become the annex with 2 or more residential units, the old dovecote and a further building currently used as tool storage and shelter. The possibilities of use are manifold: I would see well a restaurant activity perhaps using the outdoor spaces for weddings and ceremonies in pure roof style, or expand the B&B with other themed or two -room apartments in the household, or the creation of spaces for teaching workshops perhaps with the addition of animals typical of the farm and why not also keep the existing one by dedicating themselves to dog breeding. For those who love the countryside, this property already has everything you could want, the stars in the window, the ladybugs on the tree and the bottle of white wine in the fridge, all it takes is a little imagination to transform it into your place of life and passion.

Strolling through the center of Piazza Armerina, I meet up with Luigi, my guide for the day. He has the air of a slightly melancholic actor, and his name seems to tie him—unknowingly—to one of the most famous fathers of Italian literature, who was born on this marvelous Mediterranean island. With a sly smile, he takes me to see the first property on my list: a fully renovated apartment, a modern and refined interpretation of a historic residence. I walk through the vineyards as if they have always belonged to me, in the village I greet people who bow softly, as if they have known me all my life. The laughter within the walls of the house not far away, the bonfires lit in the woods, the dancing among the ruins that seem, as if by magic, rebuilt and alive. And the prince? He looks at me as if I were the key to his happiness, and I feel suspended between dream and reality, between the present and a lost time. Then, as often happens in dreams, time begins to slip away. I wake up slowly, still wrapped in the warmth of the fireplace. But the most incredible thing is to discover that I am really wearing the dress of the dream: gold and silk, sewn as if by ancient hands. On the second floor is a bathroom, and a room where, they say, Mom and Dad will sleep with their soon-to-be-born baby sister. Another room for the grandparents that will become a kitchen when they get a room on the ground floor. A door that leads into a secret third floor, everything here is still in the rough, when I grow up Mom said there will be a room for me, one for my sister and three more to accommodate friends and relatives plus of course the bathroom, actually two. Outside there is a barbecue area under the trees. Father promises that in the summer we will have barbecues with the grandparents, who will come to live with us during the vacations. But the best thing is that I will finally have Spike. Father read in a newspaper about an abandoned Belgian shepherd. He said we will adopt him together. Not that I love water, but seeing my humans relaxed...meoh relaxes me too. Above is a rough attic, yet to be fixed up. It could become my secret palace. The house is sunny all day, it's in the centre, but in a quiet area. There's Lake Idro nearby (nice to look at, not to get wet!) and Madonna di Campiglio for my humans' winter trips. And for me... lots of houses to visit, who knows, maybe I'll find some good old lady to give me some kibble, and meadows and woods to hunt in, and if I'm lucky....a nice girlfriend, maybe a long-haired one...meaohhhh In conclusion, if you're looking for a home for your family of four (plus a feline, of course), this is perfect.
