The town has many permanent Spanish residents, so it has a lively atmosphere all year round, with restaurants, markets, and shopping opportunities. About 20 minutes away is La Zenia Boulevard, an open-air shopping center with around 150 shops and restaurants. The larger city of Cartagena is about 25 minutes away and offers everything you might need. There are also several excellent 18-hole golf courses nearby in addition to Roda Golf.
