Plan the move around you
One move, a lot of moving parts
An overseas move can involve far more than collection and delivery. Packing, shipping method, timing, storage, import paperwork and access at your new home all need to line up.
Britannia Movers plans international relocations around the size of the move and the destination, with options for packing, shared or dedicated shipping, storage and support through arrival.
Worth knowing
Britannia says its international removal agents can handle practical destination matters including import documents, customs clearance and delivery. That gives you one less set of arrangements to manage on your own.

Frequently asked questions
Planning an international removal
What happens before Britannia prices and plans the move?
Britannia says a property survey is used to understand where you are moving, what you are taking and which moving service suits your needs. For European moves, the survey can be carried out in person or by video call.
Can Britannia pack my belongings for an overseas move?
Yes. Britannia offers professional packing for international moves, including specialist packing for fragile and bulky items. Its European removals service also describes custom-made wooden crates as an option for high-value or fragile pieces such as art and antiques.
What if my shipment does not fill a whole container?
Britannia offers groupage, also called shared-load or less-than-container-load shipping, for smaller consignments. Compatible shipments travelling to the same destination can be consolidated into one container, so you pay for the space your consignment uses rather than a whole container.
Can Britannia help with customs and delivery at the destination?
Britannia states that its international removal agents can deal with import-document details, customs clearance and delivery. Door-to-door services can also be arranged through its international partner network.
How much notice should I give for packing?
Britannia advises giving as much notice as possible. Its international-removals FAQ says at least two weeks in off-peak periods and three or more weeks during the busy season from July to September.
