Apartment in Besenello
Besenello, Trento
In the lush Vallagarina valley lies Besenello, on the left bank of the Adige River. For those familiar with the valley, Besenello is especially known for its marvelous castle, Castel Beseno, the largest fortress in Trentino. It entirely occupies the hilltop overlooking the town. Splendid by day, this fortified site takes on an air of magic and mystery at night, when illuminated, it appears like a ship floating suspended in the darkness. Thanks to its strategic geographic position, Besenello enjoys a particularly mild climate. Nestled in a natural amphitheater formed by the surrounding mountains, it is shielded from the winds that traverse the valley and warmed by the sun that shines on the surrounding cultivated fields, primarily vineyards. Besenello offers numerous opportunities for hiking and mountain biking, catering to both seasoned adventurers who can reach the surrounding peaks or Lake Garda, and those who prefer peaceful, flat walks. In this picturesque setting is a three-room apartment located on the second and top floor of a typical village house in the historic district. Renovated about ten years ago in keeping with local tradition, it is a splendid duplex with independent heating. On the second floor, you’ll find the living area with a fully furnished kitchen and a living room, featuring two wooden balconies characteristic of Trentino architecture. The two bedrooms are located in the attic, accessible via a bright internal staircase, adorned with beautiful exposed wooden ceilings and practical skylights. The apartment also includes two bathrooms—one on each floor—and a convenient anteroom. A cellar and a parking space add to the appeal of this property. For those with a green thumb, the building offers a small shared plot of land where each apartment has its own section for a garden.
House in Lodrone-Darzo
Lodrone-Darzo, Trentino-Alto Adige
My name is Achille, I am an elegant Siamese with some experience in comfy cushions and sunny windows. Today I tell you about my exploration of my possible future residence... a house of our own, or almost, in Lodrone. As soon as I arrived, I immediately noticed one important thing: independent. It means that no one above me makes any disturbing noises while I sleep. Already a plus. But the real wonder? Three levels of territory to explore. And I, modestly, am an expert explorer. On the ground floor, a windowed tavern with a coiled ceiling: a suitable place to chase filtering sunlight and take long naps. There are two cellars - one, I am told, could become a laundry room. I can already imagine warm clothes to roll in! There is also a garage, useful if my humans want to park their cars... or leave an empty box there for me, of course. I walk up to the first floor, where I am greeted by an open living room-kitchen area. Here there is an Olle stove. Do you know what that means? A corner that is always warm in winter, perfect for snuggling up. There is also a comfortable room, a bathroom (for humans, of course) and a staircase that invites you to go up again. So up I go. On the attic floor I find my true oasis: a double bedroom with a built-in wardrobe (great hiding place), a single room that I could claim all my own, and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi. Not that I love water, but seeing my humans relaxed...meoh relaxes me too. Above is a rough attic, yet to be fixed up. It could become my secret palace. The house is sunny all day, it's in the centre, but in a quiet area. There's Lake Idro nearby (nice to look at, not to get wet!) and Madonna di Campiglio for my humans' winter trips. And for me... lots of houses to visit, who knows, maybe I'll find some good old lady to give me some kibble, and meadows and woods to hunt in, and if I'm lucky....a nice girlfriend, maybe a long-haired one...meaohhhh In conclusion, if you're looking for a home for your family of four (plus a feline, of course), this is perfect. Sun, silence, space and secret corners: approved by me, Achilles.
